I’ve been of the radar for a while now, but I got a very good reason for it – rebranding (or in my case some sort of branding too). For a half of the summer I’ve been rebranding, recreating, redesigning, reworking and rethinking
everything about my blog. I was thinking about my blog’s past and future and I decided to take a step for a better tomorrow. So I would like to present you my blog 2.0 – “Hello, it’s August”.
Let me tell you about the changes and why it means so much to me.
New name. When i started writing my blog I took an easy way and as I recall I just came up with something easy. It was bothering me for some time now, because not only in my opinion it was stupid, but also it no way spoke about me in particular. Though I felt like it is never the right time for a change. And it wasn’t.
One morning, after almost six months of thinking about the name, I finally came up with a right name – something that made me happy, felt like me, felt personal but not too personal and something with two meanings (which I adore). It was “Hello, it’s August”.
New place. My place. A very own domain. Got rid of all those ‘blogspots.com’s and other unnecessary stuff. Clapping.
New engine. Once I’ve heard a thing or two about wordpress, I was always keen to try it out. Because I was using blogger before, and I lacked some mobility, flexibility, some features. Once I tried wordpress, the world of unlimited (okay, less limited) possibilities has opened up for me. I leave blogger for good, au revoir!
New design. New engine comes with new design possibilities. And I can tell you I made this design from scratch, and I feel very proud of it (+10 nerd points).
Social media. I will slowly rename all social media accounts that are possible to rename (if not I will create new ones) to better stick with my new name.
    New features:
    Language switcher
(top right corner) – Change from English to Lithuanian and vice versa.
Portfolio – With one click you can go check out my portfolio (still work in some sort of progress).
Newsletter – Enter your email under Follow section to subscribe to newsletter.
An it is just a brief introduction to all, more new (or somewhat new) things to come very soon, stay updated,
    Augustina Glinskyte,
